Welcome to the Cambridge Housing Authority Waitlist Applicant Portal

Cambridge Housing Authority has implemented this Applicant Portal as a secure, web-based tool for applicants to access, update, and view their waitlist information.

Please note that the Applicant Portal is a tool that allows you to check your status and make certain changes to your application; however, you cannot apply to the waitlists or add your name to additional waitlists through the Portal. To apply to the waitlists or add your name to additional waitlists you must do so at: https://cha.apply4housing.com/.

A few reminders about logging into the Applicant Portal:

  • -When you log-in for the first time you must create an account.
  • -The user name is created by the applicant.
  • -The password requirements are as follows:
  • -Eight characters
  • -One upper case character
  • -One lower case character
  • -One numerical digit
  • -One non alphanumeric character

For Frequently Asked Questions about the Applicant Portal, click here.

Please note that the position number for each waitlist that you have applied to will change depending on the priority status of new applicants added to the waitlist. For example, applicants with an approved emergency status will be added to the waitlist ahead of existing applicants. Other criteria that give applicants higher priority status on the waitlists include participants with approved reasonable accommodations and certain transfer requests. For more detail on the organization of the waitlists and the hierarchy of priorities, see the Administrative Plan or Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy associated with each waitlist program (e.g. Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, etc.) here.
